THE CARE FOR YOUR JEWELRY! – TAKE THE TIME TO READ THIS PAGE – FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THE CARE ADVICE WILL CAUSE EXPIRY OF THE WARRANTY
USE AND SAFETY
Beads of Love recommends putting on the jewelry in the morning and taking it off in the evening before going to sleep. Physically demanding exercises can cause unnecessary wear to a piece of jewelry. We recommend that you always take off your jewelry before doing homework, cooking, swimming, bathing, sunbathing, using a sauna and doing sports activities.
The gems on the Tadblu pendants may not be twisted. This can cause the gem to come loose.
Fine jewelery must be worn with care to prevent strokes and stains on handmade surfaces. It should not be directly exposed to hard and rough objects that could damage the precious metal – between these other pieces of (gold) jewelry, door knobs, bannisters, garden tools, tools and pottery and clay pottery.
Keep your beautiful jewelry in a safe place, preferably in the original box / bag that came with the item. Do not place heavy items on or next to jewelry as this can cause damage to your jewelry or wring it out. Necklaces and chains must be closed and placed in a flat position, suspended or wrapped around a soft element to prevent them from becoming tangled and remaining ready for use.
GOLD AND SILVER SURFACES
Keep in mind that rings are exposed more than other jewelry. During the course of a day, human hands are in close contact with a number of hard objects. As a result, the portion of the ring that faces the palm of the hand will be particularly exposed to wear.
GEMSTONES AND PEARLS
Beads, precious stones and pearls are fragile and do not have the durability of diamonds. Wear on gems on pendants or rings is to be expected. To prevent broken gems and scratched, crushed or chipped beads, gems and pearls from being worn, the jewelry should be worn with care and it is advisable not to hit hard surfaces or objects. We specifically advise you not to twist the gems / pearls on the Tadblu pendants: this can cause the gem / pearl to come loose.
Beads, pearls and precious stones run the risk of losing their luster when exposed to oils, lotions, perfumes, detergents and frequent exposure to sunlight, etc.
Beads, precious stones and pearls are fragile natural materials and can easily be scratched and attacked by chemicals. Therefore, use gemstone jewelry carefully with a soft cloth.
RINGS, PENDANTS, BARRELS, CHARMS AND CLOSURES
Some examples of common jewelry issues that are not considered manufacturing defects are:
• Discolouration due to exposure to chemicals, makeup, swimming pools, hot tubs, saunas or baths, or prolonged exposure to sunlight
• Curved, collected or worn protrusions that cause a bead to fall out or be lost due to normal wear or other damage.
• Lost bead or bead has fallen due to chopping or breaking caused by normal wear or other damage.
• Releasing a gemstone, pearl or bead by repeatedly ‘frumbling’, ‘fiddling’ or turning, or by wearing the pendant at night.
Since leather is a natural product, the color of the leather can vary from bracelet to bracelet. Keep in mind that light colors are more sensitive to dirt than dark colors.
The color of the leather can fade if it is exposed to direct sunlight or water. If the bracelet is exposed to water until the leather becomes moist, it may dry out as a result. A neutral leather balm will nourish and help retain the material. Leather bracelets that are used daily will create a patina and give the leather a slightly worn appearance. These are normal traces of use.
Charms can leave black marks on a leather bracelet. This is a natural reaction to the precious metal with which the leather is confronted and will therefore not be accepted as a consumer complaint.
